Working with customer Strategic Property Partners, Walbridge renovated Sparkman Wharf along with the City of Tampa’s Riverwalk, providing updates for the iconic parcel in the Water Street district of the city.
Initially constructed in 1999, the mixed-use facility houses retail and office spaces.
Walbridge’s renovation, which began in 2018 and ended in 2020, included:
- Re-roofing
- Upgrading existing HVAC system
- Full exterior renovation
- Adding windows to exterior façade
- Additions to the existing structure
- Installation of new elevator and tune-up of others
- New Entry Lobby with monument stairs
- Electrical and Plumbing upgrades
- Sitework / Landscape improvements
- Floodproofing existing structure
- Ornate Fencing
Alongside the updates, the southwest corner of the facility was opened to the Garrison Channel waterfront and an open-air concept park with live entertainment, food and beverage were created before the renovations.
With many tenants in the facility, construction phased and coordinated with customers to ensure as little impact as possible.
