Walbridge was construction manager for Visteon Village, a $250 million project that included construction of an 870,000-square-foot corporate headquarters campus. The Village was built on a scenic 265-acre parcel with a 37-acre man-made lake surrounded by a heavily wooded area and wetlands.
It included nine separate facilities of offices, product engineering and development spaces, prototype manufacturing facilities, and technical and training spaces. A central building called “Village Center” overlooks the lake and designers invoked a concept of village zoning for the entire complex.
The complex includes numerous sustainability features, including the planting of 5,000 trees and use of lake-bottom chilled water cycled through an intake loop to service summer cooling needs. The project is LEED® Certified.
Also included was a 5,700-square-foot Tier II data center.
