Walbridge was contracted to build two 155,000 square foot Core and Shell 32MW 8 POD Data Centers for a mission critical customer in Ohio. The campus consisted of multiple buildings being constructed and were awarded under separate contracts. Additionally, the team completed several data hall build-outs on the campus within existing data centers.
The fast-tracked builds include all mechanical and electrical infrastructure spaces positioned to minimize feeder lengths and provide the most efficient distribution to the data center POD. Included in the project were common spaces such as the entrance, security, loading dock, administrative area, break room, restrooms, and storage space.
The data centers and electrical rooms are conditioned through custom computer room air handler units (CRAHU) that utilize free-air and direct evaporative cooling, designed in an N+1 arrangement. A generator plant is dedicated to providing backup power for critical spaces.
