Walbridge served as construction manager for the expansion and renovation of Oakwood Heritage Hospital’s surgical center in Taylor, Mich.
For the project, the team constructed a one-story, 25,400-square-foot building addition, renovated 19,900 square feet of an existing surgical suite, created a new canopied surgical entrance and managed supporting site work.
The surgical addition includes four state-of-the-art operating rooms, two endoscopy rooms, a 42-bay pre-operative/recover/post-operative area and support spaces. The surgical suite renovation added four new operating rooms, a registration area, waiting staff lockers and support spaces. The $17 million project also included relocation of an existing helicopter landing pad adjacent to the Emergency Department entrance.
Walbridge also managed a $56 million expansion of Oakwood’s Southshore Medical Center in Trenton, Mich.
